MIT sophomores and juniors in engineering and related majors are welcome to apply. You should have an interest in working in engineering-related industries in the future and the necessary time in your schedule to complete all program requirements. Your engagement and commitment are the primary factors that will determine your success!
The Undergraduate Practice Opportunities Program provides a strong foundation for GEL, but it is not a prerequisite.
Applications to join GEL for the 2026-2027 academic year will be accepted from mid-January through mid-April 2026. Please check back for more information.
